Doing Dishes Naturally!

Dirty dishes! YUK! Glass that I love getting all foggy like even though the package says it won’t streak! Well, so done with that I am making my own! I looked for a way to make my own little dish capsules that will clean my dishes using only natural soaps and not perfumes. I put together this recipe and it works AWESOME SAUCE!!! I think you will like it too! Remember it hardens quickly so put your mixture into ice cube trays or molds. I love the silicone ones like the flowers. They look adorable in the jar too! Enjoy making your home become naturally clean inside and out! God bless!

Natural Dishwasher Soap Capsules

Ingredients (using no Borax) :

  • 2 cups Arm and Hammer washing soda

  • 1 cup Arm and Hammer baking soda

  • 1 cup citric acid

  • 1/2 cup salt

  • 3/4 cup white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon  Castile soap

  • 15-20 favorite essential oil

You can find so many fun ones on Amazon! Love these for soap, dog treats, and so much more!

  • silicone trays

Directions:

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl

  2. Gradually add vinegar a little bit at a time and mix well (some fizzing will occur and the mixture will start to clump) You may not need the entire amount of vinegar, so add it a little at a time.

  3. Mix in castile soap and lemon essential oil

  4. Pack well into two ice cube trays (take your time doing this and make sure they are well compacted)

  5. Set ice cube trays or your silicone one out to dry for at least 24 hours in a sunny spot

  6. Take tabs out of trays and store in a tight-lidded container
