Coffee Time

Oh this set is fun! I just loved making these! A little putsy…but worth it. If you decide to make a shaker card with this set that is your putsy part. But a simple card is just as cute!

Shaker Coffee or Tea Cup Card

Snowflake Die cute card 3d look using white decorative paper

BURRR..but cute!

So simple…of course when you have the right tools anything is simple. This snowflake die makes it quick and easy for your card to turn out beautiful. The one receiving this card will be blown away! You do need a BigShot to use dies. I love mine because I can do multiple cardstock, metal, felt, and so much more. It is a tough machine and is a wonderful tool for your craft room.

I also beautiful paper Stamping’ Up use to have, but am sure you can find some that will meet your winter look. Vellum would also be striking!

Teeny Tiny Tea Cup

Winter card making

Well, this little idea of course just fits who I am on so many levels! For one, I get to make a cute card using fun background papers and two, well…it’s TEA! You can make them for any occasion and of course, add your favorite tea blend as a gift. Attaching to a gift or put a tea bag inside will make a special person feel loved. The bling is a fun add on too.

Wouldn’t these be great for Valentine’s Day? I made these for the ladies bible study but the ideas are really endless. Enjoy.

Snowman Tags

Making these tags is super simple with the die cut Top Note and of course the background paper and ribbon. I also used some fun googly eyes which added even more character to each one. The eyelets are bigger and heavy duty to attach the ribbon. They sure don’t need to be but when making tags I like to use the heavier eyelets. I also use the “quite” eyelet tool called the Crop a Dile vs. hammering the eyelets. This makes my hubby VERY happy!

Winter Wishes and Thank You’s

Lastly is my winter kinda monochromatic cards. I say kinda as I added the foiling paper for color. I also used the shimmery white cardstock from Stampin’ Up! Anytime I can get a shine or sparkle on a card just makes it for me! I used the star or snowflake folder for the background again you need a Big Shot or Cuttlebug to get that image impressed. It came up lighter on my Thanks card as I used less of a sandwich when rolling it through my Big Shot causing a less impressed image. The Pine Cone die cut and Spellbinders Alphabet set were the dies I used. LOVE my alphabet set as I use it a lot!

Winter is a great time…

Yes, this is a perfect time to stamp some cards you may need in the days and months you don’t want to be inside. I do enjoy taking the cold days (today is -23) and make my summer birthday cards and ranch ministry thank you’s. NOW…back to stamping and I just got 2 new sets and one of them is a horse set from Stampin’ Up! So excited…hope to show you next month what I created.

Cute Shaker Card

This card is so dang cute! I came upon this card and fell in love with it! The die cut is by Honey Bee Stamps and the papers are from a variety of sources which I will post on the bottom of the blog.

I just couldn’t stop making them! The ideas were flowing!

A Little Hard To Get Started

The shaker card has always been a little tricky for me but what made this one a little bit more was the thinness of the outer frame. I had a hard time getting the right 3D tape to work. I began making the card the old fashioned way with pastor board that is super thick. Only one made with that…too much work. So I began working and playing and came up with the below final. I make the video to help you make your shaker and not go through the tedious trial and errors. I hope you find it easier by the video.

Our homemade Christmas ornaments always reflect our lives. Of course, if you’re making an ornament or card for someone, you may change it up a bit for their personality or yours. Our western life and faith give a taste of who we are and what we love to share. We hope the ideas below spark some ideas. The ornament is made with a clear bulb and rubs on letters. Easy peasy…I love attaching the ornaments onto a gift. Just brings a little sparkle. The Stamping’ Up products I get from a friend of mine. Here is her link if you don’t have a demonstrator. The card is using: Real Red Card stock Basic Black Card stock Shimmery White Card stock Glimmery Paper with Background 2″ circle punch Basic Black Ink Pad White Craft Ink Pad Hemp cardboard letters I cut out using my Big Shot and small die cut Set of Wild Horses Chalks Directions: Simply stamp your image onto your glittery white card stock. Mine had an image on it but you sure can use an embossing folder to create your own. Punch out image Chalk as you like Layered using dots or pop-ups Painted my letters with White craft ink While still wet you can add some dazzling diamond glitter. I placed letters to look like NOEL and used pop-ups for them too. Layer your card and you’re done! This one is easy peasy! You will need: Real Red Card Stock Shimmery White Card Stock Sweater embossing Folder Pine Cone framelits Banners Framelits Banners Stampset Big Shot Creation Time: Do all your Big Shot things first Pine Cones, a banner of choice, and your sweater Mount and layer your card stock and create with your cut outs. Such a simple card, and so COZY too! My sister got into this homemade card making and she loves it! Especially Christmas! I just got this in the mail today and it made my day! Ornaments are pretty easy nowadays with clear bulbs. I especially like the flat ones as you can fill them easily and put the rub on letters on easier too. Rub on are pretty popular…here is some ideas. Making something special is always rewarding and a great expression of LOVE! Merry Christmas! Love deeper, talk sweeter, Lee
