A year ago you could find in my search engine what do I do for…? What do I use for…you name the illness or problem I googled it.
Over and over the same things were popping up and of course, more information about healthy eating and supplements were becoming a common name. There has to be something to this I thought. Our family had already implemented the supplements with Plexus and found great results, but now and then the cold or flu bug would hit us.
I found the key for me was getting to the ROOT of the issue AS SOON AS the little bug would creep in. First sneeze. First scratchy throat. First…you name it…get on top of it! Using the remedies of natural herbs for teas and tinctures and the essence of using essential oils. SO key!
Through many trial and errors last year I made a commitment to do two things.
ONE: Use only natural cleaning supplies that I make with baking soda, vinegar, Borax, and Rocky Mountain Essential Oils. ( RMO)
TWO: I stopped buying boxed items, processed type foods,(doing the best we can with occasional frozen pizza) put all powders and the like into mason jars keeping storage fresh, and making my own herbal teas and tinctures to keep our bodies fighting the bugs. We also began taking daily supplements, one being most important, PROBIOTICS! I love RMO.
With these two things implemented in our lives, it has made a world of difference. Putting tinctures that are specifically labeled, for a cough, cold, nerve pain, sore throat, and tummy issues into our tea have REALLY been a game changer.
**Now, I can’t claim these remedies will work for you as I am no doctor, but as a wife and mom, just trying them has worked for us. I hope it will for you too!
It took a whole day for me to make these, but it was awesome to have them ready to go when I needed them. In the fall, I do it again having a fresh supply.
Especially ones I know we will go through…like Elderberry Syrup! (my recipe) HAVE to have that on hand!
All tincture recipes you can find on Bulk Herb Store. I will put below my favorites and must-haves.
If you are unsure about any of the products or think I am crazy, well, our family is healthier than ever and our animals as well.
We give the horses their daily immune strength mixture of herbs and our bunnies too. If my dog has diarrhea I again will apply natural teas to his food. It works! Of course, nature is God’s idea and of course healing so DAH…why wouldn’t it work?
Here are my favs to have on hand:
A cough:CalendulaTincture 2-3 drops into your HOT tea
I put the drops into my cup so when I pour my hot water over my tea blend it mixes up.
Honey is on the bottom too.
Headaches/Aches and Pains:Chamomile: Helps ease menstrual cramps, improve sleep, relieves a headache and soothe frayed nerves.
1/2 to 1 cup of Chamomile flowersfollow directions below… (I also add White Willow Bark, helps headaches) Mix the herbs before putting in a jar.
Tummy and Digestion:
1/2 dried peppermint leaves
1/4 cup dried ginger root (LOVE this stuff have it in most of my tea blends)
1/4 cupfennel seeds
Make your tincture by filling a jar 1/3-1/2 full of herbs.
Use 1/3 for hard herbs and roots (they absorb more) and 1/2 for soft and fluffy herbs. Fill the jar to the top with alcohol (80-90 proof Vodka is best), close it and store for 3-8 weeks in a Coll, dry pale. Shake the jar daily. After the weeks, strain and discard the herb, bottle the liquid and label it.
The alcohol is evaporated b the hot water so pregnant moms can use it too. Vinegar can be used as well, but it does not draw out the herb’s properties as well. This recipe is on the Bulk Herb Storesite.
NEXT, have your tea blends all ready to go in jars. Prepare now, so when the bug hits, you got your remedy ready to go!
1/4 CupGinger Root
1/2 Cup Echinacea
1/3 Cup Spearmint
1/3 Cup Rose Hibs(must have great on hand herb)
1/3 Cup Orange PeelMix and place in your favorite mason jar!
1 Cup of White Willow Bark (amazing herb for headaches and fevers)
1 Cup ofEchinacea Purpurea
1/2 Cup Raspberry Leaf
1/2 Cup Hibiscus
1/3 Cup Peppermint
1/3 CupOrange Peel0r Lemon Peel
Mix and place in your jar!

Any of these herbs blended will help. I recommend preparing your tea and drinking it throughout the day. For our family, it truly has been a wonderful way to heal!
Use RMO Essential Oils to place on your neck and forehead or diffuse:
Immune Strength(must have to boost the immune system)
Peppermint (headaches, tummy, and sinus)
Clove (MUST HAVE) Fights germs and flu bugs
Ginger(great for upset tummy)
Eucalyptus(Must HAVE) steam one drop in boiling water and inhale…sinus and colds symptoms have totally gone away for me.
