Do You Need an Immune Boost?

Do You Need An Immune Boost? With Covid-19 and the Flu Season Upon Us, It’s Always Good to be On Top of Your Health

Sitting here waiting for a zoom call to begin, drinking my herbal tea I began thinking wouldn’t it be nice to make up some kits I can quickly go to when I need something. Like first aid, cold and flu remedies, wound healers, and even for our ranch. I get in such a pickle when I come down with something or one of our kids or animals and I have to scramble to look up what to use. SO…I got to work!

Immune Booster

Recently a cold came on suddenly but I had the warning signs which I took action as soon as just one of the signs raised its ugly head. One for me is feeling chilled after being outside. Next the sneezing and of course the stuffiness. Once I came in from the cold and felt the chill I went to my “go-to” remedy of diffusing peppermint essential oil in hot water and putting my face into the steam. Instantly I get the relief of my nose and sinus going. Then I take some Elderberry syrup usually by itself but sometimes mix it into my tea. I also go to the Immune Boost remedy from Dr. Z’s book, pg 130 which is a HAVE TO HAVE in your home especially beginning in the onset of cold and flu season. It works! His whole book is AMAZING! A 3 week cold and flu can be cut in half if not just a couple of days as it was for me.

Here is the the recipe:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a glass, diluted with warm water to taste.
  2. Enjoy twice daily at the onset of a cold, or once per day for prevention during cold and flu season. THIS IS ONLY TO BE USED FOR 2 WEEKS. Consult health care provider if symptoms continue.

My Rescue Kit Bags

These were so simple to make and using my Cricut and Iron On by Expressions Vinyl I could whip up some kits for easy quick, grab, and apply. For some bags, I do have instructions or recipe cards inside like my abscess for the horses, and even my tick remedy as to a human, dog, and horses are all done differently. All I need is in each bag. I hope to blog about each one and have the list of what is in each bag done soon. I am working now on the Cold and Flu kit which has the packet of Liposomal, pumpkin spice, and salt ready to mix with other ingredients and of course the recipe card inside. (Just in case I’m not around others can grab and go too)

Pumpkin Spice Recipe

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground clove

The Best is Rest

The best remedy to fight cold and flu bugs are to know your symptoms and start taking care of yourself! Stay ahead of it! Get rest, take your boosts, and use your essential oils instead of other things that can harm you. Drink some herbal tea as well with elderberry syrup and even tinctures! Just put herbal tea in the search of this blog as I have some recipes that may help!

God’s blessings!
